Into the New Devotional Drawing

Go beyond into the new with Abba, shedding off the old ways, and freely, excitedly embracing this season with this devotional drawing.

"This is a time of newness. New landscape, new surroundings, new experiences, and new encounters. The old way of doing things is not for now. What you are used to, now needs to become unfamiliar. As with this shedding off of the previous ways, habits, and traditions, you will be fully reliant and dependent on the Lord. What worked in the past, while may suffice, Abba is inviting you to take His hand and go beyond - to not just get by, but to thrive. However, with this comes stepping out in faith. Faith not by what you can do, but faith in who He is. He is your Provider, your Guide, your Teacher, your Nourishment, your Everything.

Like that of a rollercoaster, discern these feelings as butterflies of excitement to spur you on, not anxiety meant to paralyze. Take hold of the Truth, Yeshua, and be emboldened by His love for you. It is promotion time. You are being asked to learn and to grow, not by pure effort or striving, but by being in His presence and being who He has designed you to be. If the newness becomes overwhelming, recenter yourself on the face of Messiah and take in His spirit with every sense of your being.

Do not give into the temptation of looking back. Look up and behold Him! He is taking you into the new and while it is unknown, He is revealing Himself to you in new ways. Focus on the unveiling of His heart and character to your spirit. Release the need to perform or have it altogether. Receive His empowering grace as you learn new ways and rhythms. Celebrate each step as you would a child, give yourself the grace He bestows upon you."
